It’s been a bit since I’ve come on here, but I think I really needed the break from writing. I’ve been trying to write my second book, but I’ve been having a really hard time getting the motivation to just sit down and work. I thought I would be able to get some chapters done today but then my fiance and I got sick, so now we are couch potatoes.
On a side note, I am going on a Podcast tomorrow to talk about my experience with vaginismus. I’m hoping it goes well, since I am pretty sickie. Still, it’s a really cool thing! I’m honored to be part of so many experiences that are helping to spread awareness on vaginismus.
Also, another side note, I’m experimenting with a diet that Kate Flowers, a YouTuber, wrote a book on. Technically, it’s a vegan diet and I’m not vegan, but I’ve seen a few people try it and they felt cleansed and refreshed after doing it for a week. They also lost weight pretty quick! Bonus 🙂 I made a “Green Dream” smoothie this afternoon and my fiance asked, “What is this green stuff in the fridge?” I just told him it was my mana. World of Warcraft joke.
For anybody adventurous enough to try it, the recipe is below.
Also, walking around the store like an idiot trying to find some of these ingredients will be an adventure all on its own.
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 TBSP chia seeds
- 2 TBSP pumpkin seeds
- 1 TBSP almond butter
- 1 scoop raw vanilla protein powder
- 1 TBSP golden monkfruit or coconut sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups water
Honestly, it sounds like it would taste like grass, and kind of looks like it too, but it was really tasty.
We will see if I make it a week on this diet and how I’ll be feeling afterwards. Hopefully toxin free and amazing! 🙂 That’s kind of what I’m going for. Oh, and for those wondering, I’m not going vegan permanently.
